London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust welcomes applications from people who wish to work part time or flexibly.

London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Geriatrician to join the Department of Medicine for Older People at Ealing Hospital. While we recruit substantively, we are looking for a locum for a minimum of 3 months.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team delivering excellent, patient-centred care across acute and emergency medicine, rehabilitation and community services. The successful applicant will work with 5 Consultant colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team. There are close links with old-age psychiatry and local GP services, including a well-coordinated enhanced service for nursing home residents in Ealing. Within the hospital, DMOP provides the clinical leadership for a range of activities interfacing with A+E, the acute medical take, orthopaedics and general surgery.
Ealing hospital is a relatively small but busy District General Hospital with 275 beds, very much embedded in the local community and staffed by committed and enthusiastic people. The DMOP is friendly and supportive; we take pride in the quality of the clinical care we deliver, and in the rich learning experience we provide to the junior staff.
We recognise that Geriatricians are key to the ongoing development of services which will provide the best possible, evidence-based care for our frail and elderly population. You will be encouraged to pursue an area of interest and be reassured that there is flexibility within the department to support each colleague in achieving professional growth and development.
We serve a local population which is ethnically and culturally diverse, with over 40% of patients from ethnic minority groups. Ealing borough and the surrounding area is an attractive part of London, already well-connected to central London and Heathrow airport and soon to benefit from CrossRail.
