Our Acute Medical Unit accommodates 33 patients. Teamwork is essential to our success as a Unit. We have five bays and three side rooms. There is a doctor/nurse allocated to care for patients in each bay and a nurse in charge on each shift. We have multiple admissions/transfers/discharges per day, so the pace is fast but rewarding. Many of our patients arrive to us acutely unwell and the satisfaction is immense when they become more stable and are discharged or transferred elsewhere.
We would like to support new nurses to become part of our welcoming team. Our commitment is to nurture and develop staff, giving them learning opportunities, practical skills and professional development. Experience is not essential and we will happily support student nurses awaiting their NMC PIN.
We are looking for efficient, enthusiastic, highly motivated nurses with good interpersonal and communication skills, who are also committed to providing a high standard of nursing care and have the drive to want to make a difference to patient care.
