An exciting opportunity has arisen to support The Family Cancer Clinic (FCC) within St Mark's Hospital to manage the patient database.  The FCC was started in 1985 to define the inherited predispositions to colorectal cancer (CRC) and to refine management of familial risk in order to prevent CRC.

The patient database records the details of over 3,000 individuals at increased familial risk of colorectal cancer (CRC) who have undergone colonoscopic surveillance, with over 30,000 patients-years of follow-up.

Providing proactive and accurate management of the Family Cancer database is a key role to ensure patient safety.  All records must be complete and accurate and all patients must receive colonoscopic surveillance as planned.

The successful candidate must be self motivated and be able to demonstrate great attention to detail.  Funding has been secured from an external grant for one year in the first instance.
