The Costing Team are looking to recruit a Cost Accountant.

This is an important opportunity for the right candidate coming as it does at a crucial time in the costing agenda.

We are currently in the process of embedding Service Line Reporting and Patient Level Costing in our organisation which the

Trust Board has identified as a top priority. The successful appointee will be heavily involved in delivering this programme and in the process will acquire a thorough grounding in NHS costing as well as enhancing their understanding of how services are delivered in LNWUHT.

There is also likely to be an opportunity to work on Education and Training costing which is a key development area for the NHS as a whole. As part of
this agenda, the Cost Accountant is expected to liase with key parties outside of Costing such as Heads of Finance, Information analysts and service managers.

To fulfil this role, we require an enthusiastic and proactive individual who is able to work independently and use their knowledge and experience to solve problems. Applicants should be used to taking the initiative in order to
progress with tasks and will need to demonstrate a high degree of commitment as the role will be a demanding and intense one.

Good Excel skills are required together with experience in dealing with large volumes of data in an NHS environment.

Interviews will be held on the 31st October
