We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to join our theatre team in CMH Main Theatres and ACAD Theatres (Short Stay Surgery). We have six Operating Theatres and 19 bays fully equipped Recovery Unit. We cover a range of specialities in acute and elective surgery. Specialities include General Surgery, Laparoscopic work.
You will be an RGN /ODP with post registration experience in peri- operative nursing (scrubbing and circulating) to join our theatre team). The applicant would be expected to work both theatres ACAD/ Main Theatres
The successful candidate will rotate between the ACAD theatres and BECAD Theatres after training.
You should have good communication and interpersonal skills, be willing to learn and be prepared to utilise your skills in all peri-operative areas including: Theatres admission unit, Theatre, Anaesthetics and Recovery.
A willingness to monitor the usage of equipment to ensure efficiency and cost effective working is advantageous
Post involves late duty.
ACAD Operating Theatres department is in housed within ACAD ( Ambulatory Care and Diagnostics) ACAD center comprises six operating theatres, supporting General Surgery, Urology , Breast, OMFS, ENT, and Ophthalmology surgery and 16 bed offering 24 hours care Monday to Friday
The Central Middlesex Hospital Operating is located in the new building with 3 modern theatre suites for major elective orthopaedic Surgery. Theatre is well-equipped recovery room consists of 5 bays providing immediate post-operative and high dependency care mainly for in patients.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
