Pending substantive consultant recruitment, a six month locum consultant is required to support the General Surgery department at Ealing Hospital. The prospective candidate should be able to undertake all aspects of General Surgery, including emergency on-call and endoscopy.

The successful candidate will play an equal part with the existing Consultants in the day to day work associated with the care of patients. It is expected that the locum consultant will teach medical students and postgraduate doctors and that they would have a keen interest in clinical audit and research. There is a weekly clinical meeting for the whole Trust and a weekly colorectal MDT meeting, which the post-holder would attend.
