We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Pharmacy purchasing team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (Ealing Hospital).

The Senior Pharmacy Purchasing Officer provides clerical and administrative support to the pharmaceutical ordering system, processing over 50,000 orders per year for medicines and associated materials, the value of which exceeds £11 million.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Processing orders for pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products
  • Validating invoice prices and processing these for payment
  • Liaises with suppliers to encourage timely deliveries of medication
  • Supports month-end financial reporting and managing private sales invoices.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate computer files

The post holder will be expected to comply with the standards required by the Medicines & Healthcare Regulatory Agency ‘MHRA’ and follow departmental SOPs.
